Head of Quality Development - Elisa Oyj - Remote - Global

Lead the future of quality and agility at Elisa. We are looking for a Head of Quality Development to lead and evolve how quality is built into Elisa’s digital services. In this role, you will have a key part in shaping how we develop digital services at scale by combining a strong vision for quality and agility, modern approaches, collaboration with business and emerging AI-driven ways of working. Rather than leading a separate transformation, you will act as a change leader within Elisa’s ongoing evolution, influencing how teams, leaders, and stakeholders collaborate and build quality in digital development. You will lead your own team and play a key role in driving change across organizational boundaries. You will also define how quality is embedded into development in a way that improves flow, reliability, and customer experience in the age of AI. Location: Helsinki, Finland or Tallinn, Estonia (with regular travel to Helsinki). Main responsibilities: Lead and develop the highly capable Quality Development team with a strong focus on people leadership and continuous improvement. Act as a change leader across Digital Services and related businesses, influencing stakeholders around the organization. Shape and evolve Elisa’s approach to quality and agility, including quality engineering, test automation, and modern development practices. Build and communicate a clear vision for how quality evolves in an increasingly AI-driven world, including AI-driven development and quality in AI-based products. Plan and implement digital change management process. Be a key contributor as part of the Technology and Digital Capabilities Leadership Team. What we’re looking for: You are an experienced people leader who knows how to build strong teams and support individuals to succeed. You have previous experience in successfully leading company level transformation in a large company. You are able to influence across a large organization and work effectively in a matrix setup, even without formal authority. You have a strong understanding of modern agile software development and quality practices & tools, and you bring a clear point of view on how quality and agility are evolving in the age of AI. You are able to combine strategic thinking with practical execution. You don’t just define direction, but help teams move forward in a pragmatic way in a complex and changing environment.
