We offer residential services for adults with intellectual disabilities in three different units. Iltatuuli is a 6-place 24-hour residential unit where clients require extensive care, guidance, and assistance in all areas of life. Tuulenpesä is a 6-place group home where clients possess many life skills and need guidance and support with daily tasks such as household chores, engaging in hobbies, and social interactions. Both Tuulenpesä and Iltatuuli have night-time guidance staff. Tuulenpesä and Iltatuuli are located close to each other. Karhukorpi supported housing residents live in their own homes in a row house, with guidance visits made by staff from group homes according to pre-arranged schedules, tailored to each client's needs. Your role in the residential units will be diverse and interesting. The work challenges you to continuously learn new skills, as each client's needs are individual and constantly changing. Your task is to support clients in living as independently as possible, with their right to self-determination at the core. A key part of your work is high-quality documentation in the client information system. The job requires professional skills to work independently, with a partner, and within the entire team. A supervisor is responsible for the residential services, and one of their tasks is to support the team. The position is permanent. Qualifications: The applicant must have the right to use a protected professional title suitable for the role, such as practical nurse. The role requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and tuberculosis screening as per section 55 of the same act. Additionally, valid medication licenses (or completion of medication management exams at the start of employment) and a hygiene pass are required. From January 1, 2025, selected candidates must present a criminal record extract in accordance with section 28 of Act 741/2023, concerning work with vulnerable adults. Candidates may be asked to provide a drug test certificate in accordance with the West Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County’s substance abuse program. Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities is valued. Hobbies that can be utilized in client work are also appreciated. We are agents of change.
