Unit Supervisor, Services for the Elderly, Residential Services, Hannakoti and Silverbacken, Kemiönsaari - Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue - Kimitoön, Finland

Your tasks You are responsible for the comprehensive management, development, and coordination of units in accordance with laws, regulations, and internal guidelines of the Southwest Finland Wellbeing Services County. You lead operations in team and network settings together with staff, relatives, and other stakeholders. Hannakoti is located in Dragsfjärd on Kemiönsaari and is a 24-hour care unit for the elderly, with 42 client places, of which five are institutional care beds and two rooms are reserved for short-term rehabilitative care. Silverbacken is located in Västanfjärd on Kemiönsaari and offers 24-hour assisted living for 12 elderly clients. Your key responsibilities include: Ensuring the operation, safety, and smoothness of units; Managing staffing adequacy, competence, occupational safety, and well-being; Participating in financial planning and monitoring, and ensuring cost-effectiveness; Producing statistical data and developing operations. You have the ability to work independently and in a team, good organizational and scheduling skills, and excellent interaction and negotiation skills. We value experience in personnel management and resource planning, a development-oriented attitude, and a desire to continuously develop your skills. You are able to face and resolve urgent or challenging situations, and you have good IT skills. The job requires good oral and written skills in Finnish and Swedish. A strong background in elderly housing services and their development, education and skills in leadership and teamwork, decision-making under pressure, familiarity with social and health care software, as well as empathy and a desire to work with the elderly are considered advantages.
