GIS Data Specialist - Finavia Oyj - Vantaa, Finland

Are you a geospatial data professional? Come develop airport geospatial data management at Finavia. We are now looking for a GIS Data Specialist for Finavia's Data & AI team. In the role of GIS Data Specialist, you are responsible for the management, quality, and usability of geospatial data for the built environment of airports. You act as a geospatial expert at the interface of business and technology and are responsible for the development of your own data area. You ensure that geospatial data effectively supports operational activities and business needs. In your role, you ensure the quality, availability, and management of geospatial data throughout its lifecycle. You act as the service manager for GIS and CAD solutions and are responsible for supplier cooperation. You manage the supply chain and interfaces of geospatial data and related data. You develop geospatial data management, databases, systems, and processes and promote the automation of operations. You also participate in the development of architecture and support projects and business as a geospatial expert. When necessary, you perform analyses related to geospatial data processing and analysis to support decision-making. The position is an independent expert role in which you work in close cooperation with business and technology stakeholders. You also participate in various development projects and international cooperation. We expect from you a suitable university degree and at least 2–3 years of experience in GIS tasks. You have experience in geospatial data lifecycle management and data processing, as well as expertise in tools such as QGIS, PostgreSQL, GeoServer, FME, and PgAdmin. You understand the principles of integrations and data architecture, and you have good interaction skills and the ability to work independently. Success in the position requires fluent Finnish and English language skills.
