Personal assistance involves helping with tasks at home or outside the home that the individual cannot perform due to illness or disability. Assistance may include support in hobbies or studies, household chores, or enabling participation in leisure activities. Sometimes, the primary role of the assistant is to be a conversation partner and companion: a relaxed person for the client. The role of a personal assistant is significant in the client’s daily life, aiming to support and enable living at home as long as possible and to offer opportunities for active and meaningful everyday life, respecting the client’s autonomy. This job suits you if you seek variety and flexibility, as work is tailored to the client’s needs and wishes. There are plenty of hours available for those who want to work more. You also have the opportunity to influence your shifts in agreement with the client. You work independently and commit to agreed practices. Due to the client’s animal allergy, work is performed in an animal-free environment. An open attitude and your personality are valuable! We do not require formal education or experience in the field, but these are considered an advantage. We offer you salary according to the collective agreement: Private Social Services Sector TES, pay grade G15A, flexible working hours, opportunity to familiarize yourself with disability work and healthcare, orientation tailored to your skills, support from a professional and humor-filled work community, possibility to pursue further studies and work in other social and health care roles. We hope from you genuine interest in assistance work, positive and cheerful attitude, willingness to learn and develop in your work, sufficient Finnish language skills; other language skills are an advantage. We require you to have vaccination protection according to the Communicable Diseases Act §48 and tuberculosis screening according to §55.
