IT Developer

We are expanding our business and seek an IT professional to strengthen our Kuopio-based team. The role combines software development, system maintenance, technical support and business development. The position offers broad opportunities to influence both technical solutions and the direction of our systems. You will work closely with forest industry experts and be responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance and improvement of our forest management system. You will collaborate with colleagues across the Nordic and Baltic regions and the UK, helping to develop and deploy the system in Scotland and other markets. The core duty is to maintain and evolve our Symfony-based platform, develop new features, troubleshoot and fix software defects, optimize and refactor existing code, and continually enhance system performance. The role also involves system customization and deployment for international operations, database administration (PostgreSQL and MySQL), disaster recovery and backup processes, and participating in deployment and release processes. You will provide technical support to internal users of our business systems and contribute to IT challenges related to workstations, networks, email, Windows environments and Microsoft 365. The job includes basic hardware and network upkeep, WordPress site content maintenance, and participation in AI-driven development and integrations that support our digital evolution and business growth.
