Job Description
As a fiber optic network designer, you will be responsible for the detailed planning and documentation of fixed telecommunications networks built for network operators in the KeyCom system. The designer's work includes, among other things, terrain planning for excavation routes, obtaining placement permits and necessary statements for project implementation, and incorporating these into the design. Additionally, you will work on defining materials, creating work maps, connection diagrams, cost estimates, and documenting the network. The role involves office work, but you will also have opportunities to go into the field and work closely with various stakeholders. The work is partly mobile, and a driving license is required. We are looking for relevant education (e.g., electrical, information, or communication technology), understanding and experience working with fiber optic networks (e.g., planning or installation experience), excellent communication and collaboration skills, willingness to learn and an active, proactive approach to work, strong IT skills and experience with network information systems (e.g., Keycom, NIMS, SNET), and fluent Finnish language skills (additional languages are a plus).
