Job Description

We are seeking early childhood education teachers (3) for temporary positions from August 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, from August 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027, and from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The primary placement will be at Lehvätie Daycare, which is an extended hours unit (open as needed Monday-Friday 5:30-22:30). The location and facilities of the daycare offer good opportunities for environmental and physical education. The duties of an early childhood education teacher include implementing, planning, evaluating, and developing early childhood education for children and child groups. We expect good interaction and teamwork skills necessary for daily interactions with children, guardians, and the work team. Qualifications required are in accordance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018), considering the transitional provision (75 §). The salary for an early childhood education teacher is based on OVTES section G, starting at €2,962.25/month. The position is subject to a trial period, which lasts up to half of the employment period. The selected candidate must provide an acceptable health statement before starting the position and a criminal record extract for working with children.
