Job Description
Join our multidisciplinary and skilled student welfare team! We are seeking a school psychologist for a fixed-term and part-time position in Kangasala's student welfare services from August 3, 2026, to October 31, 2026. The position is located at Huutijärvi and Haviseva schools. The role may also include conducting assessments at other schools if needed. As a school psychologist, your task is to promote and support the school attendance, learning, and well-being of children and young people. Your duties include individual and group student welfare work, psychological assessments and evaluations, and multidisciplinary and multi-professional networking. Final-year students are also considered. Experience in education and teaching, as well as work with children and young people, is an advantage. Success in the role requires good communication and teamwork skills, as well as a developmental approach. The position is fixed-term and part-time (60%), with daytime working hours. The role begins on August 3, 2026, and ends on October 31, 2026. The probation period is one month. Before starting, the selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract as per section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act, and must have valid vaccination protection according to section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016).
