School Assistant - Siikajoen kunta - Siikajoki, Finland

The Education Department of the Municipality of Siikajoki at Gumerus School announces a temporary position for a part-time (30-35 hours/week) school assistant substitute from August 10, 2026, to November 13, 2026. The position is likely to continue until the end of the 2026-2027 school year. The tasks are located in basic education for grades 1-9. Responsibilities will be specified during the selection process. We expect applicants to be enthusiastic and proactive. We value initiative, good cooperation skills, the ability to work with students, and a desire to develop in their work. A one-month probationary period will be applied for the position. The qualification requirement is completion of the vocational qualification in school attendance and morning and afternoon activity supervision (formerly the school assistant vocational qualification) or an equivalent qualification (e.g., child carer, practical nurse, or youth worker). Terms of employment are in accordance with the KVTES collective agreement. Before the appointment is confirmed, the selected candidate must present an acceptable medical certificate of health and a criminal record extract in accordance with Act 504/2002.
