Special Education Teacher - Saimaan ammattiopisto - Imatra, Finland

Saimaan ammattiopisto Sampo is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled special education teacher for teaching and guidance work for a fixed term from August 3, 2026, to December 17, 2027, in Imatra. You will be responsible for providing special support, planning, and monitoring its effectiveness in designated fields of education. You will support students and teachers in various learning situations and utilize methodological expertise in different learning environments. The goal is to support students' learning and progress in their studies. You are a team player; you will work closely with educational departments and guidance teams and be capable of independent and developmental work. You have up-to-date digital skills and can utilize technology appropriately in your work. Experience in vocational education, special education within it, and diverse experience in similar roles, especially in technical fields, are considered advantageous for success in this position. The qualification requirement is the qualification of a teacher providing special support according to the Decree 986/1998, Section 16. The work tasks may be at any of Saimaan ammattiopisto Sampo's locations. Before confirmation of appointment, the selected candidate must present an acceptable criminal record extract according to Act 504/2002 and a medical certificate of health. A six-month probationary period applies at the start of employment. Educational and work certificates are requested from those invited to an interview.
