Special Education Teacher (4) - Salon Kaupunki - Salo, Finland

The City of Salo's Armfelt School has four vacancies for special education teachers starting from August 1, 2026. Armfelt School is a comprehensive school located in Halikko, Salo, with approximately 640 students. We are a school for all learners, aiming to build smooth educational pathways for students throughout basic education. Our school offers general education classes as well as various special education groups, ranging from individualized instruction to small groups in connection with child protection institutions. In addition to quality education, we emphasize active, multidisciplinary collaboration with different stakeholders. We are seeking a special education teacher to work as part of the co-teaching team in the primary school. The team includes one or two classroom teachers and a school counselor. The position requires qualification as a special education teacher. We value good collaboration skills, solution-oriented approach, and a calm and thoughtful attitude towards education. We hope the applicant is enthusiastic and capable of developing their teaching and the entire school. Experience working with students requiring special support and multidisciplinary cooperation is considered an advantage. In addition to the base salary, you may receive experience-based supplements according to the collective agreement. We also pay a personal allowance to all employees whose employment has lasted over six months. The position will be filled conditionally until the selected candidate provides an acceptable health certificate and a criminal record extract as required by law (Child Criminal Background Check Act 504/2002) within 30 days of the employment decision. The employment relationship is subject to a six (6) month probationary period, provided the conditions of the collective agreement are met.
