Full-time Finnish as a Second Language (S2) Teacher, Alma Adult Education - Vaasan kaupunki - Vaasa, Finland

We are looking for two full-time S2 teachers for the period from August 3, 2026, to June 23, 2027, at Alma Adult Education. We seek skilled and inspiring S2 teachers who are prepared to work as integration trainers and to develop new ways to engage immigrants and those who have been living here for some time in Finnish society. Alma Adult Education is a bilingual institution offering diverse opportunities for personal development at various stages of life. In addition to traditional courses, Alma provides basic art education, adult basic education, and custom training. Alma's project activities are active, in collaboration with the Kuula Music Institute and the city of Vaasa's adult education services. The institution operates in Vaasa, Laihia, and Isonkyrö. Alma's values include the Alma spirit, based on authenticity, acceptance, and empowerment. Your task is to teach in labor market-oriented integration training and/or in Alma's participation projects. The role includes teaching Finnish language and, depending on the training, other skills and knowledge necessary for Finnish society and daily life. The tasks involve networking and cooperation with working life. You will be supported by Alma's experienced, versatile, and multicultural team. We require the S2 teacher qualification or other suitable higher education and pedagogical studies. Successful performance in the role requires good communication skills, teamwork, and flexibility. Proficiency in Finnish, both spoken and written, is required (language certificate or Finnish as the language of instruction). Other language skills are considered an advantage. Experience in teaching immigrants and guidance is valued. Knowledge of society, the Finnish education system, and working life is a plus.
