Actuarial Department Manager - Aktia Bank Abp - Remote - Global

Aktia is a Finnish wealth manager, bank, and life insurer that has created wealth and well-being across generations for over 200 years. Aktia Life Insurance Ltd is a subsidiary of the Aktia Group responsible for providing customer-friendly life insurance solutions. The company has about 100,000 private and corporate customers and several partners in the financial sector. We are now seeking a Head of Actuarial Department to build and lead a more business-driven actuarial function. The role is more than a traditional actuarial manager, focusing on integrating data and analytics into decision-making, developing modern agile models, and leading change in processes, technology, and mindset. Key responsibilities include leading and developing a team of 6 actuaries, overseeing strategy implementation, modernizing models and assumptions, providing strategic financial and actuarial analyses, and leading the development of actuarial tools and IT solutions.
