Assistant Store Manager Karjaa - Puuilo Tavaratalot Oy - Vantaa, Finland

We are now looking for two Assistant Store Managers for the store opening in Karjaa in autumn 2026. The Assistant Store Manager's role in Puuilo is responsible and versatile. The Assistant Store Manager acts as the operational frontline supervisor for the store staff together with the Store Manager. They share responsibility with the Store Manager for store management, staff well-being and training, sales, safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. The Assistant Store Manager ensures the store is current and meets sales budget through timely and appropriate stock management, work guidance, and store commerciality. They ensure staff know what to do and when, and train and develop team skills. We lead with empathy and problem-solving focus to enable team members to develop in their work. An interactive feedback culture is part of our daily routine. We recognize each other's successes and dare to discuss areas for improvement. Feedback is given daily to enhance staff professionalism and team efficiency. The Assistant Store Manager also develops their own activities based on received feedback. Salary according to collective agreement, between €2297 and €2857 per month, influenced by experience and education. Working hours between 6 and 20, including weekend shifts, functioning as a substitute for the Store Manager during absence. We expect you to have experience in retail leadership or responsible roles, strong commercial insight, motivation to develop as a leader, coaching leadership skills, and ability to lead in a changing environment. The role involves driving a fast-paced store environment, including operating a forklift and assisting with trailer assembly.
