Social Worker, Child and Family Social Services - Satakunnan hyvinvointialue - Pori, Finland

This is a position for a social worker in the child, youth, and family services sector of the Satakunta wellbeing services area, based at Perhekeskus Lounatuuli (Pori, Ulvila, Merikarvia). The role also includes duties at Perhekeskus Pohjatuuli (Kankaanpää, Pomarkku, Siikainen, Jämijärvi, Karvia). As a social worker, you will be part of the child and family social services team at the family center. The team handles tasks such as processing child protection notifications, assessing service needs, and managing client relationships under the Child Welfare Act. The child and family social services team includes social workers, social counselors, family coordinators, and family workers. We work closely with other family center actors, child protection services, and municipal educational services. The work involves independent work, teamwork, and network collaboration. The qualification requirement is a social worker qualification according to the Social Welfare Professionals Act (817/2015). Experience and/or education related to working with children and families, as well as good oral and written Finnish language skills, are necessary. A driver’s license and personal vehicle are preferred for performing work tasks. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as specified by law if their work involves contact with children and elderly persons, in accordance with the law on criminal background checks for those working with children (504/2002) or social and health care supervision (741/2023). Employment terms and salary are based on the SOTE agreement. The salary for this position is 4,305 euros per month. The working hours are 37 hours and 45 minutes per week.
