Job Description
Skydio is seeking a hands-on technical engineer for our manufacturing team to help bridge manufacturing to engineering organizations. The role involves collecting and analyzing manufacturing data, driving improvements in yield, retest, and test time, and enhancing line efficiency and product quality. The engineer will design and build manufacturing test hardware and software, collaborate with product development, manufacturing, and software teams, and lead investigations into production issues. Responsibilities include developing test automation software in Python, designing automated test equipment, and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI). The ideal candidate has 5+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, 3+ years in test development, strong Python coding skills, electromechanical design background, and problem-solving abilities. The position offers a salary range of $147,000 - $210,000 annually, with benefits including stock options, health insurance, paid leave, and 401K. FAA Part 107 certification is encouraged.
