Library Bus Driver - Temporary Substitute for Official - Sotkamon kunta - Sotkamo, Finland

We are seeking a library bus driver for a fixed-term position from August 3, 2026, to November 2, 2026. Continuation of the position may be possible (approximately 3 months). The Sotkamo Municipal Library's library bus Iso Karhu provides services to daycares, schools, and customers in the municipality's outlying areas. The library bus driver operates the library bus, is responsible for its technical functioning and condition, and participates in planning the bus schedules and stops. In customer service, the driver promotes reading for all ages and guides and assists library patrons in finding materials and information. The driver also performs collection work by maintaining the condition and order of the materials. Sotkamo Municipal Library is part of the Kainet libraries and uses the Aurora library system. Qualifications for the position include a valid C-driver's license for professional driving, experience in driving a bus or truck, a professional competence card for driving a truck, and a digital tachograph card. Additionally, a suitable professional qualification is required, which includes or is supplemented by at least 60 ECTS credits or 35 study weeks of library and information science studies. The candidate must have an independent and customer-oriented work approach, teamwork skills, and an interest in automotive technical matters. The salary and other terms of employment are determined according to the KVTES agreement, appendix 2. The position-specific salary is €2,778.21/month (from August 1, 2026). The working hours are 36.25 hours per week. A one-month probationary period applies to the position.
