Job Description
The City of Äänekoski's early childhood education department is seeking a fixed-term early childhood education teacher for employment starting September 1, 2026, at Mikonpuisto Daycare. As of August 1, 2026, Mikonpuisto will have eight (8) groups, and we also offer shift care for clients. We value strong pedagogical expertise in early childhood education, good emotional and interaction skills, and the ability to take responsibility for the pedagogical development of the team and work community. We consider work experience in early childhood education, collaboration with guardians, sensitivity as an educator, and the ability and willingness to guide children's learning processes and activities while promoting participation as important. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in education or a degree that provides professional skills for early childhood education tasks, as specified in section 26 of the Early Childhood Education Act 240/2018, or supplemented with the mentioned studies. Applicants meeting the transitional provisions of section 540/2018 of the Early Childhood Education Act concerning personnel are also eligible. Candidates invited for an interview must bring original degree and employment certificates. We welcome applications through the Kuntarekry.fi system.
