Job Description
LUT University and Virnex are establishing the Artificial Intelligence Research Center (AIRC) and are seeking a research director to lead its development. The AIRC provides a new platform for close collaboration between academia and industry, enabling interdisciplinary research on artificial intelligence and data management. The center will be located in Lahti, Finland, opening in summer 2026. The research director will lead research and development activities, define and implement research strategy, and collaborate with various stakeholders. The role requires a doctoral degree, at least five years of relevant experience, and excellent English skills. The position offers a hybrid work model, a salary of approximately €6,000–7,000/month, and a six-month trial period.
