Lapland wellbeing services county is seeking a ward physician for a permanent official position in Kemi. Start date October 1, 2026, or as agreed. Your job description includes the work of a primary health care ward physician at Länsi-Pohja Hospital and the home hospital. We have two primary health care wards where experienced specialists work as ward physicians. The eligibility requirement is the right to practice the medical profession as a licensed professional in accordance with Section 4 of the Act on Health Care Professionals (559/1994). Salary and terms of employment are determined according to the Physician's Agreement (Lääkärisopimus). The position is subject to a 6-month probationary period. The position requires fluent oral and written skills in Finnish. Regarding staff vaccination protection, we follow the vaccination protection required by the law on infectious diseases. The employer also has the right to request and receive a certificate regarding a drug test (13.8.2004/759 7§).
