Job Description

atNorth is a leading Nordic data center company providing cost-effective, scalable high-density colocation and built-to-suit services to industry-leading organizations across Iceland, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. With sustainability at our core, our data centers run on renewable energy and are designed according to circular economy principles. Through innovative design, power efficiency, and intelligent operations, we deliver reliable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure. Headquartered in Reykjavik, Iceland, atNorth operates eight data centers across the Nordics, with additional sites under development in Finland, Denmark, and Sweden. We combine world-class technology with a people-first culture built on collaboration, ownership, and trust, empowering our teams to grow, take responsibility, and make a real impact. By joining our international team, you will help shape the future of sustainable digital infrastructure. As Information Security Manager, you will establish, lead, and enforce atNorth’s information security strategy and governance, ensuring the effective protection of information assets and full compliance with regulatory and certification requirements. You will act as the senior authority on information security across atNorth, driving organizational accountability and ensuring that policies and controls are not only defined, but consistently followed across all business units. This is a highly influential leadership role with direct impact on business resilience, trust, and continued growth in a regulated and critical‑infrastructure environment. You will work closely with executive leadership, regulators, auditors, and customers, translating technical risk into business impact and embedding information security as a core part of how atNorth operates. Key responsibilities include defining and executing atNorth’s information security strategy, acting as senior authority and trusted advisor to executive leadership, owning and leading key compliance and certification programs including SOC 2 Type II, NIS2, and ISO/IEC 27001, establishing governance structures, driving remediation of non‑compliance, ensuring enterprise‑wide risk management, leading incident response governance, owning and evolving the Business Continuity Management framework, acting as primary interface for auditors, regulators, and customers, and leading the information security team. The ideal candidate has proven ability to drive organizational change, strong leadership presence, success in building a security culture, deep expertise in ISMS and security governance, strong knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and security architecture principles, solid understanding of NIS2 and SOC 2 Type II, ability to translate risks into business impact, fluent English, and a background check is conducted for all employees. atNorth values an open, transparent, and inclusive culture, fostering regular engagement, listening to teams, and nurturing collaboration. Join us to help shape a sustainable future.
