Street Supervisor, Community and Environmental Services - Oulun kaupunki - Oulu, Finland

The Streets, Parks, and Traffic unit of the City of Oulu belongs to the Community and Environmental Services and is responsible for the planning, construction, and maintenance of streets, traffic, and green areas. We are currently seeking a STREET SUPERVISOR for a permanent position in the Streets, Parks, and Traffic unit. The Street Supervisor's duties include preparing for the procurement of maintenance services, contract management, and supervision of the areas under their responsibility. The supervisor is responsible for client, supervision, and customer service tasks related to street and other public area maintenance, event reporting, internal and external invoicing review, and handling customer feedback. The role also involves tasks related to placement and excavation permits, stormwater management, and asset management. The supervisor will assess the condition, restoration, and maintenance needs of stormwater structures such as open ditches, stormwater pipes, manholes, discharge points, and detention and infiltration structures within a limited area, and prepare necessary maintenance plans. Additionally, the role includes developing stormwater asset management. The supervisor may act as a substitute for other supervisors and perform other tasks assigned by superiors. Qualifications include a relevant degree in community technology (technician/engineer or equivalent). The ability to work independently and make decisions is required. Experience and familiarity with the maintenance of traffic areas are considered an advantage. We offer a professional and development-oriented work community and a diverse job profile.
