Marine Survey Data Handler (Fixed-term) - Arctia Karhu Oy - Helsinki, Finland

The work involves processing and quality control of point cloud data produced by acoustic multibeam echosounder technology (multibeam echosounder) and laser scanning at an office in Helsinki and in field conditions aboard a hydrographic survey vessel. Remote work is only possible occasionally. We are looking for a positive, flexible individual with the ability to learn new things quickly, who can work efficiently both in a team and independently. Computer skills and problem-solving abilities are considered an advantage. The job also requires willingness to travel, as during the measurement period, tasks will be carried out on hydrographic survey vessels. The position is suitable for a student or graduate in surveying or a surveying engineering technician (AMK). Relevant work experience will be considered an advantage. Maritime background is not required. Selected applicants will undergo a security clearance before starting employment. Additionally, a valid seafarer’s medical certificate must be held before employment begins. Further information about these requirements will be provided during the interview. The desired start date is August 2026, and the employment will continue until the end of the year.
