Job Description
In the employment and growth services of the City of Tampere, we promote responsible employment, entrepreneurship, and economic policy. We facilitate the creation of new businesses and support their growth, ensure the availability of skilled labor both nationally and internationally, and develop workforce skills. We are responsible for employment services in the Tampere region in accordance with a regional cooperation agreement. We perform tasks mandated by law for the employment authority and tasks related to promoting integration. Our work is guided by a customer-oriented approach: we listen to our clients' needs and develop services together. We work with an innovative approach. We are seeking to add an Occupational Coach to our team for a permanent position starting from September 1, 2026, or as agreed. The role focuses on customer service tasks related to initiating job search for individuals. As an Occupational Coach, your task is to collaboratively promote the quick employment of job seekers, improve the availability of labor for companies and organizations, and support employed individuals in maintaining their jobs and advancing their career paths. You will guide job seekers towards employment, education, or other services that promote employment if quick employment is not possible. You will work closely with the wellbeing services area and Kela in a multidisciplinary support model for employment promotion, a joint service model for youth employment, and with ecosystem actors involved in employment promotion and continuous learning. The role involves extensive use of public authority in the client service process, requiring knowledge and application of relevant legislation. You must act lawfully, promote equality, and ensure good governance. Success in this role requires adaptability, a positive attitude, resilience under pressure, and strong communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency in Finnish is required for successful performance. The minimum qualification is a higher education degree. Preferred qualifications: - Up-to-date experience in employment authority tasks - At least two years of recent experience in multidisciplinary network work (TYM), especially in the Tampere region - Up-to-date experience of the labor market and business activities, especially in the Tampere region Please attach copies of certificates proving your qualifications to your electronic application via Kuntarekry. We use a six-month probationary period for permanent positions. The salary consists of a base salary of 3133.48€/month, possible experience supplements, and other salary benefits.
