We are seeking a part-time teacher of art history and contemporary art for the Art School campus in Kankaanpää, starting from September 1, 2026, or as agreed. The role involves teaching art history (5 credits), covering from antiquity to the present, and contemporary art and aesthetics (5 credits), focusing on contemporary phenomena, media monitoring, discussions, and assignments. The work is concentrated towards the end of the week, especially Friday. Additional tasks may include supervising theses, guiding the Art Research course, and developing teaching and assignments in collaboration with the team. The ideal candidate has expertise in art history, contemporary art, or applied fields, with pedagogical skills, enthusiasm for engaging teaching, and good Finnish and English language skills. A bachelor's degree in the relevant field is suitable, with a higher university degree required for thesis supervision. The salary ranges from €28.47 to €42.76 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
