Field Supervisor, Situation Center Mikkeli - Etelä-Savon hyvinvointialue - Mikkeli, Finland

South Savo Wellbeing Services Eloisa is seeking three field supervisors for permanent positions in the Situation Center in Mikkeli, starting from September 1, 2026, or as agreed. In the role of field supervisor, you will be responsible for internal and external service area supervision tasks within the hospital. After orientation, shifts in these areas will vary, and experience will be gained regularly in both areas. Responsibilities in both areas include: Situation reporting to the wellbeing area's management, Operations according to contingency plans and during disruptions. Additional duties for health services field supervisors include: Managing ward occupancy and ward placements, Arranging substitutes and optimizing resource use, Coordinating and allocating standby personnel, Operational supervisory tasks. Additional duties for elderly services field supervisors include: Assessing clients' urgent care needs (HTA), Supporting the evaluation of alarm phone tasks. The position is based in Mikkeli and requires presence. The candidate must have good interaction and cooperation skills, organizational skills, a solution-oriented approach, and good stress tolerance. Proficiency in Finnish is required. The work is mainly computer-based and requires good skills in using and learning various healthcare information systems. Challenges include forming an overall picture from multiple changing data sources, handling interruptions, and accepting that some matters cannot be influenced. Qualifications include a Bachelor of Health Care degree or a previous college-level qualification, and licensure under the Act on Healthcare Professionals (559/94), with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience. Additional leadership training or sufficient experience (5 years) in supervisory roles is also required. Employment requires a limited security clearance as per the Security Clearance Act (726/2014) section 21, applied for by South Savo Wellbeing Services. Prior experience as a field supervisor or in healthcare situation center work is an advantage. The role requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Communicable Diseases Act section 48 and a health status report regarding tuberculosis of the respiratory system as per section 55. The selected candidate must present a health report before appointment. A six (6) month probationary period applies. Applications must be received by the deadline.
