About the position We are looking for a motivated Supply Chain Technology Development Manager role to lead the development and implementation of Oriola’s supply chain capabilities by managing technology, automation, and digitalisation initiatives that enable a highly efficient, scalable, and compliant logistics operations. This is a new role in the organisation, and it will play a critical part in building Oriola’s next-generation distribution centre in Järvenpää, Finland. As a key link between operations, technology, automation partners, and project stakeholders, the role will drive the successful delivery of strategic supply chain infrastructure projects in Järvenpää and other sites. The role reports to the Director, Property & Technical Management, and is part of Oriola’s Supply Chain organization. Presence in the Järvenpää is expected regularly. While onsite work is initially limited, the need for presence will increase as the project progresses. Key Activities and Responsibilities• Project Leadership: Lead technology, automation, and digitalization projects for supply chain infrastructure and development initiatives.• Supplier Management: Act as the primary interface for automation and system vendors; steer and manage partners firmly to ensure quality deliveries.• Interface Coordination: Manage interfaces between different teams incl. operative teams, automation, facility and IT. Ensure structured handover to the relevant team(s).• Schedule & Dependency Management: Own the project schedules within broader development frameworks, proactively tracking and managing critical dependencies across design, IT integration, testing, and commissioning.• Operational Fit & Scaling: Ensure solutions support future operational targets and technical solutions meet operational, maintenance, facility, quality and business requirements.
