Senior FinOps Engineer - IFS - Remote - Global

The Senior FinOps Engineer is responsible for optimizing, governing and evolving the financial operations of IFS cloud services, with primary focus on Microsoft Azure and supporting awareness of multi-cloud and AI-related technology consumption where relevant. This role goes beyond traditional cost reporting. It is responsible for driving technology value, enabling financial accountability, and supporting data-driven decision-making across engineering, operations, finance, and leadership teams. The successful candidate will lead FinOps practices across cloud spend visibility, forecasting, budgeting, allocation, optimization, commitment management, and governance, while also helping IFS adopt AI-enabled FinOps capabilities, automation, and modern reporting standards. The ideal candidate will combine strong Azure FinOps expertise with a proactive mindset for automation, analytics, stakeholder engagement, and the adoption of AI and AI-adjacent technologies in support operations. Responsibilities include owning and improving FinOps practices for Azure, monitoring cloud spend, driving cost optimization, partnering with teams, establishing governance, improving data quality, delivering insights, automating reporting, and working on AI-powered FinOps automation solutions. Qualifications include a degree in IT, CS, Engineering, Finance, or Business, 5+ years of experience, Azure certifications (AZ-900/AZ-104), and equivalent AWS/GCP certifications.
