Job Description
The Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Helsinki is seeking a doctoral researcher in biochemistry / bioprocessing / food science for a fixed-term 2-year contract to work in the VALABio project. The successful candidate will work on transforming low-value animal-based side streams into high-value bioactive compounds, including peptides and EV-based innovations. Responsibilities include research on peptide production, characterization, encapsulation, and process development, supervision, and dissemination. Requirements include a master's degree in relevant fields, experience in protein or peptide production, enzymatic hydrolysis, and mass spectrometry. Fluency in English is essential. The position is based at Viikki campus, Helsinki.
