About the role

Would you like to help lead railway projects and take responsibility for their success? Are you looking for a role where you can influence project progress, develop your skills, and build a long-term career in a growing field? Founded in 2011, Rautatieto Oy is part of Sundström Infra AB Oy and provides contracting, design and commissioning services for rail safety and electrical signaling equipment, as well as planning and construction of telecommunications networks. We cover almost all traffic control systems and monitoring equipment used on Finnish railways. We are seeking a project manager for Rautatieto Oy. We are interested in both experienced project managers and those starting their careers in project management. As a project manager you will lead the daily operations of worksites together with the site manager/foreman, ensuring that work progresses as planned. You will also manage important cooperation with customers and our network, participate in scouting new subcontractors, and contribute to developing the cooperation network. Your duties include coordinating procurement and deliveries with purchasing, managing project timelines, and monitoring costs and profitability. Rautatieto has units in Oulu and Riihimäki, but the work can be tailored to your needs so you can work from anywhere in Finland. We hope you can start as soon as possible. You will fit the role if you have: electrical engineering degree, prior experience as a project manager, design engineer, site manager, or foreman in electrical/industrial/construction project operations, strong organizational and project management skills, ability to lead multiple units simultaneously, excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills. Optional but beneficial: experience from railway or infrastructure construction projects, knowledge of rail and safety system technology, experience with cost tracking and project financial management, willingness to develop processes and operating models. We offer: competitive salary based on your skills and experience; a flexible, flat organizational structure where your ideas are heard and you can truly influence things; a friendly and relaxed team; opportunities for more responsibility in the future; and benefits such as extensive health care, E-pass, and company bike.
