Knowledge of basic education and experience in similar roles are considered an advantage. The available position is in a special class. Lotila School is a comprehensive school for grades 1-6 with approximately 360 students, located near the center of Lahti with good transportation connections. The school offers specialized music education, classroom-based special education, and Swedish language immersion. We prioritize group well-being and teamwork. We are a KiVa school and implement participation education through activities such as Verso, Resto, and Välkkäri. The school has modern and adaptable teaching facilities. We collaborate with other local schools and various actors in Lahti city. Technology education, including robotics, is part of our curriculum. We require applicants to have at least a suitable secondary education qualification (e.g., assistant for school attendance, practical nurse specializing in children and youth, youth worker, or special education assistant for children and youth) or a vocational qualification in school attendance supervision. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check as required by law 504/2002. A drug test certificate may be requested. The position is subject to a four-month probation period. This is a part-time position, 26 hours per week. During school holidays, the employer is not obligated to provide work. These holiday periods are unpaid.
