Job Description
Would you like to work in a team of skilled educators and have the opportunity to develop the learning environment for children in need of support and guidance? Folkhälsan Welfare Ltd is recruiting a consulting special education teacher in early childhood education for our daycares and some of our afternoon clubs in the Helsinki region and on language islands. The position is a full-time permanent employment. The work begins by agreement, preferably in August 2026. Your duties as a special education teacher include active collaboration with the child's guardians, early childhood educators, and other experts regarding the child's growth and learning. Together with your colleague in the Åbo region, you will work for children at our daycares and afternoon clubs. Folkhälsan's daycares offer Swedish-speaking early childhood education and preschool teaching, as well as language immersion activities for Finnish-speaking children. The qualification requirements include a qualification as a teacher in early childhood education and, in addition, completed studies providing professional skills for the role of special education teacher or a Master of Education in pedagogy with a specialization in special education (training for special education teachers in early childhood education). Candidates must present a criminal record extract according to section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act, and a tuberculosis examination according to section 55 of the Infectious Diseases Act.
