Become a Finance Manager in Petäjävesi! We are seeking a Finance Manager for a permanent, full-time position starting from August 1, 2026, or by agreement. The Petäjävesi Parish is a small but lively community in Central Finland. You will work with six friendly colleagues, trusted officials, and active parish members. The workplace is the recently renovated, 140-year-old Vicarage, and you will help take care of Finland's only UNESCO World Heritage Site church. The responsibilities of the Finance Manager include: leading and supervising the parish's finances, acting as supervisor for property and cemetery workers, and serving as payroll officer. The role emphasizes general administration and property management tasks. Main duties include preparing the budget, financial statements, and annual report, managing parish administration, and tasks related to cemetery operations and property maintenance. The position requires a proactive development mindset, good leadership, teamwork, communication, interaction skills, adaptability, change management, and IT skills. The salary is based on the KirVesTes J10 pay scale (3199.23-4426.92€), and applicants may specify their salary expectations within this range. The position includes a six-month probation period, and the appointee must provide a medical certificate of health. The successful candidate must be a confirmed member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland. We also value experience in parish finance and administration.
