Project & Machine Safety Engineer

A technical project and machine safety engineer is sought for a permanent position in an international work environment. Actiw is a logistics innovator focusing on industrial warehousing and automated loading. The Finnish offices are in Pieksämäki and Jyväskylä. For over 30 years we have solved, optimized and automated material handling processes across industries in collaboration with global customers. We provide automated loading equipment, smart turnkey solutions and around-the-clock services to reduce customers’ loading times and increase safety and productivity. Your role includes acting as right-hand to project managers, participating in system design, documentation, quality assurance and reporting; duties can be tailored to your experience and interests. You will produce and maintain key project documentation (risk assessments, safety plans, technical specifications, procurement specs, maintenance and spare parts documents) and contribute to layout design with other experts. You will collaborate with your own organization and, occasionally, subcontractors and customers. Beyond project managers, you will have the support of capable colleagues in sales, design, procurement and manufacturing supervision. Your skills and career goals will shape the areas of responsibility you take on and how you can develop in the role. You will have real influence over your own job description. The position is permanent and full-time, directly with Actiw. The work site is Jyväskylä and we operate a hybrid model enabling remote work on several days per week. Some short trips within Finland or abroad may be possible.
