Full-Stack Software Engineer (AI Focus) - Bentley Systems - Remote - Global

Bentley Systems is seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer (AI Focus) to join our SYNCHRO 4D Pro team. SYNCHRO is our market-leading construction scheduling and project management software used on major infrastructure projects globally. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled international team shaping the future of construction software. In this role, you will be responsible for taking cutting-edge, newly created AI models and implementing them directly into our established, already in-use SYNCHRO 4D Pro application. You will take research innovations and AI prototypes and translate them into scalable, production-grade features that our active user base will rely on daily. Partnering closely with research, product, and design teams, you will build AI-assisted experiences that help engineers and construction professionals explore design alternatives, improve schedule quality, and accelerate decision-making while keeping users in control. Responsibilities include designing and implementing AI-powered features, productionizing AI research prototypes, participating in discovery efforts, writing well-tested code, mentoring team members, and ensuring high-quality integration. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, AI/ML, or related field, 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience, 1+ year of hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools, proficiency with React, Typescript, Node.js, experience with AI frameworks like Langchain, and working with Git. Preferred experience includes MCP, RAG systems, Electron, and agile development. The role offers a competitive salary, benefits, professional development, and extra leave days.
