Job Description
The Games Mathematician is a core member of the Immense Studio game development team, responsible for designing, validating, and documenting the mathematical frameworks that underpin our slot and casino game portfolio. This role works closely with game designers, engine developers, and third-party partners to ensure every game delivers mathematically sound, commercially viable, and regulatorily compliant outcomes. Responsibilities include owning the creation, maintenance, and governance of all game math documentation, developing internal standards, verifying math models through spreadsheet models and simulations, monitoring live game performance, building and maintaining math tools and calculators, and collaborating with game designers and engine developers to ensure correct implementation of math models. The ideal candidate has a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline, hands-on experience with mathematical models for casino or slot games, coding experience in Python or JavaScript, excellent communication skills in English, strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Excel, and a solid grounding in applied mathematics, probability, and statistics. Nice to have skills include experience in regulated iGaming environments, knowledge of jackpot mechanics, and exposure to game engine workflows.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and evidence-based approach to decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build complex models and automate tasks.
- Solid grounding in applied mathematics, probability theory, and statistical analysis, with demonstrable experience applying these in a professional context.
