We are seeking a fixed-term early childhood education support childcare worker for Vihanti Daycare from August 3 to December 31, 2026. The role requires knowledge of medication administration and experience working with children in need of support. Job Description As an early childhood education childcare worker, your main tasks involve care and education activities appropriate to children's age and developmental level. You will be responsible for implementing care and education for children and promoting their growth, development, and learning together with the team. The work emphasizes collaboration with children's guardians, supporting and promoting the well-being of children and families, and working with preventive methods. Skills We expect from you: - Familiarity with documents guiding early childhood education and preschool education - Good cooperation and interaction skills - Ability to sensitively engage with children - Sufficient Finnish language skills We value an enthusiastic, positive, and developmental work attitude, as well as skills related to emotional and interactional methods. Qualifications The qualification requirement for an early childhood education childcare worker is based on the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018, Section 28), considering the transitional provisions for personnel under the same law (Section 75). A basic degree in social and health care with specialization in children and youth studies is required. In the absence of qualified applicants, the position can also be filled by a person without the required degree. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract issued within the framework of Act 504/2002 and a tuberculosis statement according to the Communicable Diseases Act, Section 55, before starting employment. Employment Terms Employment terms are governed by the Municipal General Collective Agreement (KVTES). A trial period applies, determined by the duration of the fixed-term employment.
