Assistant Chief Physician, Pulmonology Unit Mikkeli - Etelä-Savon hyvinvointialue - Mikkeli, Finland

South Savo Wellbeing Services Eloisa is seeking an assistant chief physician for the pulmonology unit in Mikkeli starting from September 1, 2026, or by agreement. Eloisa provides social and health care services as well as rescue services within the region of South Savo, covering 11 municipalities with a population of approximately 130,000. The wellbeing area has a pulmonology outpatient clinic in Mikkeli and Savonlinna. Specialists in pulmonology also treat patients on inpatient wards. There is no on-call service specific to the specialty. The pulmonology unit conducts a broad range of work related to pulmonology, including procedures, and trains specialist doctors. The assistant chief physician's duties include working as a specialist doctor in outpatient and inpatient settings, as well as medical and administrative leadership. Our salary is among the top in the country; in addition to a task-specific salary of €9,269.63/month, we pay a training supervision allowance of €314.51/month. The eligibility requirement for the position is a license or permit to practice medicine issued under the Act on Healthcare Professionals 559/94, and specialist qualification in a relevant medical field.
