Job Description
Linnansuoja Oy provides high-quality child protection services. We are looking for a nurse for a fixed-term parental leave replacement at Linnansuojan Silta in Orimattila. The employment begins on 15 June 2026 and lasts until 18 May 2027. We expect from you: Nursing qualification. B driver's license. Good organizational, cooperation, and interaction skills. Reflective and forward-looking work attitude. Ability to operate professionally in demanding situations and create a safe, stable, and supportive environment for children. As a nurse, your responsibilities include: Implementing medication administration according to the unit’s medication plan. Caring for, educating, and rehabilitating the children placed in the unit, and acting as a guardian for 23 children. Planning and executing daily rehabilitation activities with the team, and working closely with the children’s relatives and various stakeholders. Providing individual work with children as needed, such as emotional or substance abuse work. Participating in daily chores, such as cleaning and meal arrangements. Enabling activities as part of children’s daily life. Also, performing daily reports and various written summaries. Supporting the child's participation, being heard, and participating in planned family meetings together with a family therapist. Being a support and creating a sense of security for the child, both on good and bad days. The work involves shift work. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as required by law (505/2002) for working with children. Valid first aid training, medication authorization, and hygiene pass are considered advantages. The selected person must obtain a social and health care professional license by 1 July 2026.
