Hanko Water Utility is now seeking a WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR for a permanent position as part of a professional and dedicated team. As a wastewater treatment plant operator, you play a key role in ensuring that wastewater is treated safely and efficiently. Your work directly affects local water bodies, environmental well-being, and residents' daily lives. In our water utility, you will perform a variety of tasks. The main location for the treatment plant operator is the Suursuo wastewater treatment plant, but wastewater pumping stations are located throughout our beautiful city, and your duties will include maintaining them. Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining the wastewater treatment process and pumping stations. Maintenance, repairs, and cleaning and calibration of measuring devices are also part of weekly tasks. Requirements for applicants: - Professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., process, machinery), but relevant work experience may also qualify you for the position. - Proficiency in Finnish or Swedish. - At least a B driving license. - Possibly participation in on-call systems. Additional requirements for successful performance: - Interest in understanding complex treatment processes. - Good physical condition and the ability to handle pressure at times. - Good attitude towards following safety regulations and thoroughness. - Willingness to develop and participate in professional training.
