We are looking for a home care assistant for Riihimäki's home care services for a fixed-term employment until September 30, 2026. You will be part of a warm and community-oriented work environment where new employees integrate quickly. Our work community is known for being easy to join. Riihimäki's home care is divided into two areas, but we work closely across regions. Riihimäki is a compact city, so distances to clients are short, and travel time is minimized. Having access to a personal car occasionally is beneficial. We operate in two shifts, using Numeron shift planning. Working in home care suits those who enjoy independent, mobile, and varied work with elderly clients. In this responsible and important role, you promote and support clients' ability to live at home and their overall well-being. Your work includes client-centered and rehabilitative care at the client's home, involving basic care and medical tasks. We provide modern tools, quality orientation, and support from great colleagues. We use a mobile client information system that provides real-time data on clients' needs and care plans. We also utilize care technology such as Evondos and Axitare medication dispensers to ensure medication accuracy and timeliness. We expect you to be self-directed, responsible, and rehabilitative in your approach, with good teamwork skills and an open mind for continuous development in care work. The qualification requirement is a social and health care basic degree for practical nurses or an equivalent qualification. Registration with the Central Register of Social and Health Care Professionals is required. Participation in medication management requires a valid medication competence license, which can be obtained or renewed at the start of employment. The task-specific salary is €2750.80/month. In addition, experience-based pay of 3%-8% is paid. The accumulation of vacation days is based on service time. Applicants working with the elderly and disabled must present a criminal record extract as per the Act on the Supervision of Social and Health Care (741/2023), section 28.1, and section 6.4 of the Criminal Records Act. Salary and other employment terms are determined according to the SOTE agreement. A trial period applies. In direct patient and client work, vaccination against infectious diseases as required by the Communicable Diseases Act section 48 and a tuberculosis statement as per section 55 are mandatory.
