Job Description
We have expanded our Family Center services and are seeking general practitioners for three new positions across different family center areas. Would you like to be involved in developing comprehensive care and impacting families' daily lives? Your tasks include working within the children, youth, and family services team (Lanupe) in the primary health care of the family center, in close cooperation with social services and education authorities. You will meet children, youth, and families facing challenges that require more extensive measures than basic guidance provided in health clinics or school health services. Your work includes both preventive services and medical care. You will assess and treat issues related to mental health, substance use, sleep, screen time, nutrition, physical activity, and daily life management, as well as problems related to depression, anxiety, development, learning, and emotional regulation. You will evaluate the need for different therapies and ensure timely assistance. You will have support from outreach pediatricians, child and adolescent psychiatrists, and extensive consultation options. You will be part of multidisciplinary teams (Monark, MAR) coordinating investigations, treatment, and rehabilitation plans according to early intervention models. Additionally, you will develop basic-level operations in collaboration with other health care, social services, and education authorities. The work location will be agreed upon flexibly, and part of the work can be done remotely. The current vacancies are located in different family center areas; two in the eastern region (Somero, Salo, Kemiönsaari, Parainen) and one in the central region (Loimaa, Oripää, Pöytyä, Aura, Lieto, Kaarina, Sauvo, Paimio, Marttila, Koski Tl). A versatile role where you can influence the development of the family center’s operations and the well-being of children, youth, and families. Your job description will be flexibly structured to support your professional growth and work for the best interests of families. Good communication skills and flexibility in organizing work tasks are essential for success. An innovative and development-oriented approach, interest in working with children, youth, and families, and relevant previous experience are considered advantages. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or an experienced professional, we encourage you to apply! The qualification requirement is a license or permit to practice as a medical professional under the Act on Healthcare Professionals 559/94. Language skills required include good spoken and written Finnish and satisfactory spoken and written Swedish. For bilingual services in the eastern region position, good spoken and written Finnish and Swedish are required. Apply now and help shape the future of family centers!
