Permanent Early Childhood Education Teacher Position (1) in Kajaani Early Childhood Education - Kajaanin kaupunki - Kajaani, Finland

We are seeking a permanent early childhood education teacher for a position starting on August 17, 2026, at Kuurna Daycare in Kajaani. Kuurna Daycare operates four early childhood groups for children aged 1-5 years, with the slogan "playing, moving, and singing" describing its activities. As an early childhood education teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that the activities and pedagogy of the child group comply with the early childhood education plan. You will plan the activities of the child group, ensure that planning and goal-setting are implemented, and evaluate, develop, and document the activities both for the entire group and in small groups. You will participate in pedagogical development work teams at your daycare and in the planning, evaluation, and development of the entire daycare's pedagogical approach in collaboration with the entire staff. You will promote activities in the child's best interest by strengthening children's equality, safety, and overall well-being. The position is permanent, starting August 17, 2026. Salary is determined according to the municipal teaching staff's collective agreement (OVTES). The starting salary for a qualified early childhood education teacher is €3,052.03 plus possible additional allowances. Qualifications include meeting the criteria of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) section 26 or transitional provision section 75 for the position of early childhood education teacher. Certificates demonstrating qualification will be checked during the interview process. In the absence of qualified applicants, those nearing completion of their studies in early childhood education will also be considered. Interviews will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026.
