

Healthcare Assistant
Nurse in Janakkala on 3-shift role with permanent and fixed-term positions
We are seeking two care assistants: one is a permanent position and the other is a fixed-term position until 30 September 2026 to 23 April 2027. We offer meaningful work in residential care. Come join our caring and capable team at Kyterinhovi's residential unit in Janakkala, Turenki, in the Kyterinhovi unit with 60 beds for long-term care of older people. Our unit is divided into four home areas where our nurses work. As a care assistant you will be responsible for daily care and well-being of the elderly in our unit. Your day will include basic care, medication administration, care procedures, and multidisciplinary collaboration. You will also have the opportunity to participate in hospice care. You will have opportunities to develop your work through daily practice and a variety of training possibilities. Our team includes care assistants, nurses, and a team coordinator. The job is on a 3-shift basis. We expect you to have good teamwork skills, a development mindset, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The eligibility requirement is a Social and Health Care (sosiaali- ja terveysalan) basic qualification or equivalent. We require registration in the Social and Health Care Professionals Register. Participation in medication administration requires valid medication training, which you can update at the start of employment if needed. We will hold recruitment discussions during the application period and the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found. For roles involving work with older people and people with disabilities, a criminal record extract as required by the Act on the Protection of Social and Health Care (741/2023) and sections relating to infectious diseases must be presented. Salary and other terms are determined by the SOTE collective agreement. Probation period is six months. Immediate patient and client work requires vaccination proof as per the Health Protection Act and a TB-related certificate.
