Municipal Engineering Engineer - Kankaanpään kaupunki - Kankaanpää, Finland

We are seeking a municipal engineering engineer for a permanent position in the technical sector. We offer a versatile and responsible role where you will participate in the planning, construction, maintenance, and development of city streets, traffic areas, public spaces, and other municipal infrastructure. Your work will have a tangible impact on residents' daily lives and the operational conditions of businesses. The position is a key part of the city's infrastructure planning, implementation, and long-term asset management. As a municipal engineering engineer, you will be responsible for preparing municipal infrastructure investment projects, overseeing planning, and construction management. Your duties will also include supervising and coordinating the maintenance of streets and public areas, as well as working closely with designers, contractors, authorities, companies, and residents. Additionally, you will participate in procurement preparations, tenders, implementation of investment programs, and technical sector expert and authority tasks. You will also serve as a supervisor for a small workgroup. We are looking for a candidate with a suitable (construction, community, or environmental engineering) engineer (AMK) or technician degree, or a former engineer or construction foreman qualification. Experience in infrastructure construction, construction management, maintenance, or municipal planning is valued. Success in this role requires good organizational and collaboration skills, the ability to manage broad projects, and a proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented work approach.
