The Information and Technology Department is responsible for tasks related to Customs' statistics, information services, ICT production and development, material services, and laboratory services. The Material Services Unit handles the coordination of international funding, mapping of funding sources, and project monitoring and reporting. The unit also manages the technical specifications, coordination, and administration of services and contracts related to equipment, vehicles, tools, protective gear, and other operational materials. Additionally, Material Services is responsible for procurement orders under procurement contracts, minor purchases, and the provision of agency services. Material Services also provides caretaker services, and the current vacancy is located at the Pasila premises. Customs is recruiting for the position of Driver-Caretaker, Customs Inspector (Helsinki, Pasila). The duties include caretaker tasks at the Pasila premises, such as driving, passenger and cargo transport, reception of visitors, reception and supervision of maintenance staff, participation in the issuance process of personal and official cards, internal mail and parcel distribution, inventory management, maintenance of multi-function devices, monitoring the condition of the premises, and reporting to the maintenance company.
