Job Description
We are looking for part-time night watchers for our client company Wisehockey to monitor ice hockey games. Wisehockey's smart puck system is an international leader in sports analytics. It provides comprehensive ice hockey analytics based on positioning technology. The system automatically tracks the movement of the puck and players during the game and produces real-time visual information, for example, for coaches or directly to viewers' mobile apps. It can tell which player skated the most during the game, from which part of the ice the shot was taken, or which team dominated the game – all accessible via the Wisehockey system installed in the arena. The Wisehockey system not only produces statistics but also enables a unique service package around the sports event. It is used in the Finnish Liiga as well as in Norway and Germany. As a night watcher, you will work in the control room at the Tampere Viinikka office, monitoring monitors and the automatic analytics system of Wisehockey. The role requires the ability to learn how to use monitoring tools, for which training will be provided. Night watchers are expected to have a flexible and customer-oriented attitude, as situations during matches can change quickly and require response. A technical expert will support you during shifts. If needed, communication with clients is handled via phone, email, and/or Slack. The role requires knowledge of ice hockey rules, and a background in the sport is considered an advantage. The working language is Finnish, but fluent knowledge of sport-specific English terminology is also required. Shifts mainly occur on weekends, lasting approximately 4-8 hours. Shifts are generally on Friday evenings (starting around 16-17) and on Saturdays during day or evening shifts. One weekend, the working hours are estimated at 5-15 hours on average. The number of shifts varies weekly, considering team breaks and other factors. Applicants should be able to commit to the specified working hours for the duration of the contract. Requests for days off and shift preferences can be submitted. The employment is temporary for the season through Eezy Henkilöstöpalvelut, starting with training in August 2026 and tentatively ending in March 2027. The employment follows the IT services sector collective agreement. Interested in the role and believe you are the right person? Submit your application via the provided link, fill out your profile thoroughly, and tell us about yourself and your skills. We will process applications during the application period. Positions will be filled as suitable candidates are found.
