A fixed-term position for a part-time teacher is available at Ylikiiminki School for the 2026-2027 academic year. The role involves special education teaching. The position is located at the Ylikiiminki elementary school and includes classroom teaching and co-teaching. "Ylikiiminki School is a community-oriented pioneer in education. We are proud of our roots and build meaningful lives." Ylikiiminki has one school with two units: the Ylikiiminki unit, serving grades 1-9, and the Vesala unit, serving grades 1-6. Approximately 85% of the students in the Ylikiiminki unit are transportation students. Students come from the town center and various villages. Students in the Vesala unit come from the Reki-Vesala area. In total, there are about 450 students. Ylikiiminki School has developed strong practices in personalized and flexible learning. STEAM pedagogy is a core part of the culture in both units, and the school has established its own STEAM pathway emphasizing the environment and nature. Both units have a FabLab. Ylikiiminki School is also a Green Flag school, which is reflected in many aspects of the school's activities. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. Original certificates demonstrating qualifications must be presented during the interview. Salary is based on the municipal collective agreement for the education sector.
