A fixed-term position for a primary school class teacher is available at Yli-Ii School for the academic year from August 10, 2026, to February 23, 2027. Teaching subjects include 1st-grade subjects, elementary school music, and health education. Yli-Ii School is a single-stream comprehensive school in a rural area. Our focus areas include STEAM, increasing physical activity, and sustainable development. As a small school, our strengths are familiarity with students and targeted support. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/1998). Original certificates of qualification must be presented during the interview. It is advantageous to have qualifications to teach health education and experience in teaching music in elementary school. Salary is based on the municipal collective agreement for the education sector. Before the appointment is confirmed, the selected candidate must, within 30 days of receiving the decision, present a criminal background check issued under the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002), Section 3.
